The "Hide Items in final State" option from the View menu tells Cimera to neither retrieve nor display any items that have been promoted into their final state. thus improving clarity and reducing unnecessary server I/O and data traffic.

 

 

The final state in the Lifecycle of an Item Type is one that means it is no longer of interest.

e.g.        the Support call is closed or resolved

 the Project is finished

 the Hardware is decommissioned

 the Change is implemented

 the Complaint is withdrawn

 

While we want to keep a permanent record of the past in Cimera we do not want the windows cluttered with historical Items.
