Item List Filter

The Item List Filter appears at the top of any window or pane that displays a list of Items, e.g. Item Explorer, Select Items. It allows the list to be filtered by only displaying the Items that have the specified attribute matching the specified value.

If more complex criteria are required to find Items then use the Simple Query, the Query Builder or the CQL Query.

 

Adjusting the filter does not re-query the Cimera database it just filters the current list of items.

 

 

Filter

 

Which column to filter on. This defaults to searching all columns.

 

By

 

•The value to filter on (case insensitive).
•Spaces at the beginning and end are ignored
•The filter will select items whose attribute begins with the specified value.
•An asterisk at the beginning means tells the filter to select items containing the specified value
•An asterisk anywhere else is ignored.

 

Note

 

•Changing the Filter and By values affect which of the items already retrieved from the Cimera Database are displayed. Changing the filter criteria does not re-query the Cimera database.
•Filter text is case insensitive
•Changes to the Cimera database made by the current user will be automatically reflected in the list.
•Changes to the Cimera database made by other users will not be automatically reflected by the list.
